We all want to live our best life, and we all want to be successful and happy. But, how many of us believe that it could happen for us? How many of us dare to dream big and take action to create a magical life? How many of us know what visualization is? Well, that was some deep shit you would say. Well, it is not. It is straightforward if you master the following things I am about to mention. You just have to follow the points mentioned below (try to follow all of them if you can) for 21 days, and you will see the changes in your thinking patterns and behavior.

So, shall we begin?

Visualize Visualize and Visualize!

It is a powerful technique where you see yourself as someone who has everything you want in the future. The difference is you don’t do wishful thinking here. Instead, you use present tense to describe yourself and your surroundings as you want to see in the future. For example, “I am a successful entrepreneur”, or “I am a money magnet”, “The world around me is peaceful”, “I can generate income from various sources”, and whatnot. You put yourself in the shoes of the version of yourself that you want to embody.

There are two reasons this works:

1) When you finally start visualizing, you gain the confidence that your life can change and that change is attainable, so it gives you momentum in taking action in the right direction.

2) Daily visualization practice helps you not get distracted from your goals and directs your attention to the things you care about.

Here is a video on The Power of Visualization by Jay Shetty on YouTube.

NOTE: To make full use of this, you first need to make peace with your current circumstances. You cannot be complaining about the present while you imagine your future. The negative aspects of the dissatisfaction with your present life will cancel the positive ones you want to manifest. So, make sure you feel grateful and happy about whatever you have right now, as that will indeed help you to imagine your future self from the place of gratitude and love.

Write your goals down and use the affirmation statements

Writing your goals down helps the visualization become easier. You know what you want to focus on. Affirmations and visualization go hand in hand. Affirmations also work best when used in the present tense or present perfect tense rather than in the future tense. Every affirmation statement should start with “I Am” or “I have” and so on for the same reasons what we discussed for visualization.

A break from social media as and when needed

The major problem that arises with visualization is the perfect world of social media where everybody is an influencer and successful and happy(at least that’s what they pretend). And this makes it difficult for some people to tune in to their future selves because they start comparing their lives with already established people or simply envying their peers. So, consume only the information that is helping you in some way or another. Don’t fill your head with things that make you doubt yourself daily.

Protect your vibe!

We all have some kind of vibration attached to our personality – positive, negative, fun and so on. You cannot control how people think and act, but you can protect your vibe and stay away from people who don’t match yours. People complain about all types of reasons, and the negative people have the talent to find bad in every situation, and time spent with them almost every time ends in bickering. So, utilize your time to interact with people who are not always condescending, as your outer environment shapes your inner world as well.

Try to devote some time each day to some physical exercise

Move around daily, either walk or workout or dance, whatever suits you. But spend at least 20 minutes to half an hour for physical exercise of some kind. It increases heart rate, which pumps more oxygen to the brain. It aids the release of hormones which provide an excellent environment for the growth of brain cells. Exercise also promotes brain plasticity by stimulating the growth of new connections between cells in many important cortical areas of the brain.

Conclusion

Visualization is a powerful technique by which you can enter into an altered state of consciousness. It helps you imagine yourself as your future self and helps build the confidence to take action for your optimal growth. It works best and becomes easier when you do it after harmonizing with your present self. Being thankful for what you have now makes room for more positivity and abundance in the future as well.

Writing your goals down makes visualization process easier and helps maintain your focus on vital things.

Taking a break from social media can give you a lot of free time and perspective to tap into your authentic self rather than copying someone online.

Protect your vibe from the people who don’t match it. Pay attention to those people who have a positive vibe and who make you feel good about yourself.

Daily physical movement promotes sound mental health and neuroplasticity. Do all these things for 21 days, and do let us know in the comments if you noticed any positive changes!
